Which syrenka is the real one
The mermaid is Warsaw's symbol, and two statues compete: Konstanty Hegel's 1855 syrenka on the Old Town Market Square, whose original moved into the Museum of Warsaw in 2008 with a copy outside, and Ludwika Nitschowa's 1939 one on the Vistula bank. Locals have a favourite.
