Templo de Debod at sunset
The Templo de Debod is a 2nd-century-BC Egyptian temple that Egypt gave Spain in 1968 for helping save the Abu Simbel temples from the Aswan dam. It was rebuilt stone by stone in the Parque del Oeste above Plaza de España, and the pool in front reflects it at sunset, with the Casa de Campo and the sierra behind. Free; the inside opens mornings and evenings.
When: All year; sunset, which in October moves from 19:40 to 18:40. Inside closed Mondays.
